Junior High Division Points:
1. Ten points for ten place in event points
for each qualifing rodeo (10 Torrington first round, 10
Torrington second round, 10 Gillette first round, 10
Gillette second round, 10 Casper first round, 10 Casper
second round=60 Total prior to finals)
2. All-around points for each qualifing rodeo based on the
500 points per event plus 5 points for each contestant for
six places.
3. Total of 70 points available for each event for finals
(10 first round for 10 places, 10 second round, 10 average
and 40 Bonus points for the top four places)
4. All-around points for each event of 500 plus 5 for each
contestant for the first round, second round and average.
5. Top four places after all rodeos goes to National Finals
in Gallup. |
Junior
Division State Entry Form
Entry Fees will remain at the same price as last year at $25 per
event with NO payback. All proceeds will go to pay rodeo expenses
and prizes. Entries will be call in on Monday prior to the rodeo
(same as the High School Rodeo) to Kris Nelson 307-756-2710 from 5
pm to 10 pm ONLY. State Finals Entries will be mail in with entries
postmarked by May 15, 2010. Todd Slone All-around saddles
certificates will be given to the high point boy and girl for the
year end and event winners will be awarded a trophy Gist buckle.
Gist has also donated buckles for the Rookie boy and girl of the
Year for 2010. Thanks you to all of our great sponsors!

Welcome all new and returning members to the Wyoming Junior High Division of
High School Rodeo! Please consider this your first place to check for the
upcoming events, we will post the rodeo results, all official communication from
the national office and the national directors, along with minutes from the
board meeting. Memberships for the current year are due NOW!!! The links for
the 2009-2010 memberships are on the website. All members must complete BOTH
the National and State applications. If you are a returning member
this is especially important as we will be selecting the Junior High
Division All-Star
team for the 2009-2010 season. The Wyoming Junior High Division of High
School Rodeo will be sending out the Junior High Division All-Star agreements which must be signed
and returned to me by October 10, 2009. Please return your completed,
notarized memberships to me ASAP. Any incomplete applications will be returned. The fees for the 2009-2010 season will be the same as last year, which was
$99, money orders or cashiers checks ONLY to be accepted. Please make them
payable to the Wyoming Junior High Division of HS Rodeo.
Programs Available to Members: The NHSRA
Junior High Division is proud to announce the "Professional's Choice
Equine Athlete of the Month" program. The program honors and recognizes the horse of one girl and one boy each month.
To be eligible for the honor, students must submit an application to the NHSRA
national office in Denver. Horses do NOT need to be registered in order to
qualify for this program. One of the most well-received programs in the National High School Rodeo
Association, the Professional's Choice Student Athlete of the Month program
began in September 1999.
The program rewards one girl and one boy each month with a Professional's Choice
Air Ride Saddle Pad. To be eligible for the honor, students must submit an
application to the NHSRA national office in Denver. The applications include questions about the extracurricular activities,
volunteerism and goals of each applicant. As part of the application process,
each applicant must also submit a letter of recommendation as well as a 150-word
essay. Winners are featured each month in the NHSRA Times.inners are featured each
